Merida AM 3000 D 2008

The Flagship AM model has a new frame for 2008 which has increased stiffness and lighter weight over the 2007 model. The AM 3000 and AM 800 have been updated with a more compact, stiffer and lighter rocker arm and all the 2008 AM's benefit from a new chainstay unit which offers better tire clearance and 150g less weight than 2007 model frames. 

The AM 3000 D's high end component package would not be out of place on £2.5K bike, and at just a shade over 29lbs for a size large this bike is ideal for trail centers, epic rides like the Merida marathon events or hitting the big mountains where it is light enough to deal with the climbs yet rugged enough to chuck about and have some fun on.
It features the Fox RP23 rear shock and Fox Talas RL forks 100-120-140mm travel and features a full XT drivetrain and Magura Louise hydraulic disc brakes and FSA finishing kit.
